So the rumours are true. In June of 2005 Sir William Patrick Corgan issued a full page advertisement in the Chicago Tribune and Sun Times stating he wanted his band back – Now there is a brand new Smashing Pumpkins front page with the legendary SP heart logo and a short post indicating “the reunited Smashing Pumpkins are recording their first album in seven years with producer Roy Thomas Baker, who is best known for his work with Queen but resurfaced last year to produce the sophomore album from the Darkness.”
It appears as if the year of our Lord 2007 there will once again be Heavy Metal Machines, Siamese Dreams, Vaseline Afterbirths and Neon Coughs – and don’t forget plain ol’ skull crushing motherfuckin’ rock.
